Canyon Lake Library

The city of Canyon Lake contracts with the Riverside County Library System to provide library services.

Welcome to the Canyon Lake Library! Our library staff is here to help! Whether you are looking for the newest novel, an audio book, or ready to learn about "Playaways" our newest form of recorded books, come visit the library. We also offer, computers, DVD's, music, and a new collection of books in Spanish.

The Canyon Lake staff is also here to support our young readers by offering bi-weekly story times, family programming and special events. Our focus is to help support reading readiness by providing quality books, media and great special events.

The expansion of the Canyon Lake Library is almost complete! We anticipate that the work will be done by October 2009.  Our Technology Center now offers the public access to 10 personal computers, two 30-minute express computers and copy center.  The final touches of the expansion, which will include fresh paint and new signage in the young adult and Children's areas, will be completed in the next few months.  We offer printing from our public computers for a nominal charge.  Our computer reservation center allows you to make same day reservations for a public computer.  Come visit and see how the Canyon Lake Library has been redesigned to provide our members more reasons for visiting.

Another special feature that we have added to the library is Facebook and Twitter pages.  These will provide our followers with day to day information on our library activities.  Just for our teens and young adults the library has now added a Canyon Lake MySpace page.  This site will offer music and book reviews and new book releases as they become available.  The Canyon Lake Library will also offer information about our programs and events which relate to our library members.

There are many ways that you can become involved in our library.  Our Canyon Lake Friends of the Library is always looking for volunteers.  Please take the time to stop by and visit.  The Canyon Lake Library is always looking for volunteers who want to help make our library a wonderful place to visit.  Suggestions are always welcome and we are always looking for new ways to help the Canyon Lake Library evolve and offer special programming and activities to all of our members.  So whether you are looking for a Hot off the Press book, graphic novel, or need internet access the staff at the Canyon Lake Library will work with you to assist with your information and literary needs.
