Volunteer Firefighters Needed

The members of the Canyon Lake Volunteer Fire Company 60 are looking for friendly and responsible people that like working with others as a team.

As a Volunteer Firefighter you will gain fire service experience and serve the great community of Canyon Lake. Volunteer Firefighter's respond shoulder to shoulder with career Riverside County Fire Department Firefighters to all types of emergencies such as: medical aids, structure fires, vehicle fires, vegetation fires, hazardous materials and many other incidents.

There are many benefits with being a Volunteer Firefighter including learning how the fire service works internally, receiving hands experience, and the opportunity to take classes offered by the department.

Requirement and comments:

  • Minimum age 17 with parental consent
  • 16 week academy Thursday 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and
    Saturday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • First Responder class four weeks Saturday and Sundays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Hazardous Materials class two days Saturday and Sunday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • 48 hours a month ride along from the station
  • Training Every Thursday night 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
