How should I drain my pool?
Don’t drain into a street, gutter, or storm drain.  Rent or purchase a submersible pump, connect it to a garden hose and slowly empty the pool into a sewer clean-out located on your property only.  Prevent the potential for backflow by maintaining an “air gap” between the discharge line and the sewer line (do not seal connection between the hose and sewer line).
